About
Denis Kearney was born in Oakmount, County Cork, Ireland. He was a California labor leader of the late 19th century who was known for his nativist and racist views about Chinese immigrants. He studied public speaking and frequented newspaper offices, where he exchanged views on current affairs and social philosophy.
