Deborah Ann "Debbie" Gibson was born in Brooklyn, New York City. She is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress. In 1988, she was pronounced the youngest female artist to write, produce, and perform a No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, with her song "Foolish Beat". Gibson appeared on Deal or No Deal along with Corey Feldman as part of a 1980s special. She made a cameo appearance in the 2012 film Rock of Ages in the face-off. She starred in the UP TV movie called The Music in Me alongside Gloria Reuben in 2015. She began her enormously successful pop career at the age of 16 when her self-penned album, Out of the Blue, sold over eight million copies world-wide.
