Cupcake Brown was born in San Diego, California. She is an American author and lawyer. She earned her college degree at San Diego State University and attended law school at the University of San Francisco, graduating in 2001 with the Judge Harold J. Haley award for "unusual distinction, scholarship, character and activities" Brown went on to become an associate with the law firm of McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enerson. She wrote an autobiography called A Piece of Cake: A Memoir.
