Charles Reznikoff was an American poet known for his long work, Testimony: The United States, Recitative. The term Objectivist was first coined for him. The two-volume Testimony was based on court records and explored the black experience in the United States. He followed this with Holocaust, based on court testimony about Nazi death camps during World War II.
