Charles D. Ellison was born in California. He is an American author. He is a former Congressional speechwriter, noted public policy analyst, media expert and writer. Charles has lectured for the Close Up Foundation and was a Youth Radio board member. Ellison is Director of the Center for New Politics and Policy, a former Senior Fellow at the University of Denver and a Visiting Fellow at the George Washington University Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet.
