Burt Reynolds was born in Waycross, Georgia. He is an American actor, director and producer who has starred in many films, such as Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit, White Lightning with its sequel Gator, The Longest Yard with its 2005 remake and Boogie Nights in which he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He won the 1956 Florida State Drama Award for his performance in Outward Bound. Reynolds calls Duncan his mentor and the most influential person in his life.
