Brent Weeks was born in Montana, USA. He is an American fantasy writer. He made The New York Times Best Seller list with The Blinding Knife in its first month, September 2012. He graduated from Hillsdale College with a degree in English. He briefly worked as a teacher and bartender before moving to writing full-time. Orbit Books published his first novel in 2008; The Way of Shadows is also the first book in Weeks' The Night Angel Trilogy, which has been printed in 10 different languages; the Way of Shadows is also scheduled to be adapted into a graphic novel by Yen Press.
