Brenda Peterson is an American novelist and nature writer, author of 17 books, including a New York Times “Notable Book of the Year,” Duck and Cover. Her new novel, The Drowning World, a YA crossover fantasy/sci-fi is just out. Peterson's work has appeared in The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, Christian Science Monitor, Seattle Times, Utne Reader, Orion, and Oprah magazines.
