Anthony James  Allmendinger is an American open-wheel and stock car racing driver. He earned five wins and a third championship place in the 2006 Champ Car season. Afterwards, he contested the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, achieving a 15th place in the 2011 championship and a win in the 2014 Cheez-It 355 at The Glen. Moreover, he has competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona since the 2006 edition for Michael Shank's team, finishing first in 2012, second in 2006 and third in 2013. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for JTG Daugherty Racing driving the No. 47 Chevrolet SS.
