John Calvin Maxwell was born in Garden City, Michigan, USA. He is an American author, leadership expert, speaker and pastor who has written many books, primarily focusing on leadership. His books have sold millions of copies, with some on the New York Times Best Seller List. He earned a bachelor's degree from Ohio Christian University in 1969, a Master of Divinity degree from Azusa Pacific University, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. After serving as senior pastor for 14 years, he left Skyline Church in 1995 to devote himself full-time to speaking and writing. In 2008, he began serving as a guest pastor at the famous Crystal Cathedral in Orange County, California. He has written several books include: Developing the Leader Within You, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, The 21 indispensable qualities of a leader, The 360 Degree Leader, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, Intentional Living, and No Limits.
