Colleen Hoover was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She is an American novelist. She is the New York Times bestselling author of seven novels and one novella. Hoover's novels fall into the New Adult and Young Adult categories. She published her first novel, Slammed, in January 2012. Since then, all of her full-length novels have become New York Times Best Sellers. She graduated from Texas A&M-Commerce with a degree in Social Work.
