Gabrielle Zevin was born in New York City, New York, United States. She is an American novelist and screenwriter. Zevin's first novel Elsewhere was published in 2005. It was nominated for a 2006 Quill award, won the Borders Original Voices Award, and was a selection of the Barnes & Noble Book Club. In 2007 she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay for Conversations with Other Women. She has written several novels include: The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry, Margarettown, The Hole We're In, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac, All These Things I've Done, Because It Is My Blood, and In the Age of Love and Chocolate. She graduated from Harvard University in 2000 with a degree in English & American Literature.
