John Bytheway was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. He is an American author and academic who is well known as a comic motivational speaker for youth within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Brigham Young University in 2003. He is a part-time religion instructor at the BYU Salt Lake Center. He also served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Philippines. He has written several books include: How to Be an Extraordinary Teenager, How to Be Totally Miserable, When Times Are Tough, Righteous Warriors, Isaiah for Airheads, Behind Every Good Man, Of Pigs, Pearls, & Prodigals, The Sacrament, and How Do I Know If I Know? Bytheway and his wife Kimberly have six children, three sons and three daughters.
