George Peele was born in London, UK. He was an English dramatist who is most noted for his supposed but not universally accepted collaboration with William Shakespeare on the play Titus Andronicus. He earned a B.A. degree in 1577 and an M.A. degree in 1579 from Oxford. He was also complimented by Gager for an English verse translation of one of the Iphigenias of Euripides. He wrote several plays include: The Arraignment of Paris, David and Bethsabe, Edward I, The Battle of Alcazar, The Life and Death of Jack Straw, The Famous Chronicle of King Edward the First, and The Old Wives' Tale.
