John Henry Jowett was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. He was an English pastor and author. He served at the Presbyterian Church, Fifth Avenue, New York from 1911 to 1918, then Westminster Chapel from 1918 to 1922. He wrote several books include: Yet Another Day, The passion for souls, The Epistles of Peter, The School of Calvary, The Preacher, His Life and Work, My Daily Meditation for the Circling Year, and The whole armour of God.
