Hercule Savinien de Cyrano de Bergerac was born in Paris, France. He was a French author. Today he is best known as the inspiration for Edmond Rostand's most noted drama Cyrano de Bergerac which, although it includes elements of his life, also contains invention and myth. He wrote several books include: Voyages to the Moon and the Sun, Comical History of the States and Empires of the Moon(novel), and The Comical History of the States and Empires of the Moon and Sun.
