John Eldredge was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is an American author, counselor and lecturer on Christianity. He earned a BA degree in theater from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his MA degree in biblical counseling from Colorado Christian University. He worked as a counselor in private practice before launching Ransomed Heart in 2000. He has written several books include: Wild at Heart, The Journey of Desire, Epic: The Story God Is Telling, Captivating (with Stasi Eldredge), Walking with God, Beautiful Outlaw, Fathered by God, Moving Mountains, Killing Lions, and Love and War (with Stasi Eldredge).
