Jen Knox was born in Columbus, Ohio, USA. She is an American writer and professor. She earned a BA degree in English from Otterbein University and her MFA from Bennington College in 2010. She currently teaches creative writing at San Antonio College and works as a fiction editor for Our Stories Literary Journal. She has written several books include: Musical Chairs, After the Gazebo, To Begin Again, Don't Tease the Elephants, and The Glass City (Won- 2016 Prize Americana for Prose). Her short fiction and nonfiction can be read widely, in journals including Annalemma Magazine, Narrative Magazine, Short Story America and elsewhere. She married to Food Economist, Christopher J. Shanahan, and living in San Antonio, Texas.
