Jean-Paul Gaultier was born in Arcueil, Val-de-Marne, France. He is a French haute couture and prêt-à-porter fashion designer. He was the creative director of Hermès from 2003 to 2010. He co-presented the television series Eurotrash with Antoine de Caunes. He never received formal training as a designer. He licenses a line of perfumes in collaboration with Puig company. In 2012, he was named as a member of the Jury for the Main Competition at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
