His role in several films include: SpaceCamp, Russkies, Parenthood, Inventing the Abbotts, Return to Paradise, 8mm, Gladiator (Nominated- Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor, Golden Globes Award for Best Supporting Actor), Buffalo Soldiers, It's All About Love, The Village, Walk the Line (Won- Golden Globes Award for Best Actor.
