Joel Steven Siegel was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an American film critic for the ABC morning news show Good Morning America for over 25 years. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. He worked as a radio disc jockey and an advertising copywriter. He also worked as a joke writer for Senator Robert F. Kennedy. He received five New York Emmy Awards and a public service award from the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association Award for general excellence in individual reporting. He wrote several books include: Lessons for Dylan, New Creation Meditations, Assembled Together, The Coming of the Lord, Repentance and Revival, Prosperity Killers, and Simple Faith.
