You could get in rehearsals, pre-production, anything that would actually contribute to the understanding of how a film gets made. I actually find those things increase people’s interest in a movie and like that better than worrying about showing the tricks behind the curtain.

He received a BA degree in economics from Stanford University in 1980 and later earned an M.F.A. in film production from the University of Southern California in 1986. He directed several films include: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Mystery, Alaska, Meet the Parents, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Meet the Fockers, Recount, Dinner for Schmucks, Game Change, The Campaign, Trumbo, and All the Way(TV film).
