Caroline B. Cooney was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. She is an American author of more than ninety suspense, mystery, and romance novels for teenagers, which have sold more than fifteen million copies and are published in several languages. Her international bestseller The Face on the Milk Carton has sold more than three million copies and was made into a television movie. Cooney’s books have received many state library awards and are on several booklists, such as the New York Public Library's "Teen Picks." She grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut, and spent most of her life on the Connecticut shoreline, but recently moved to South Carolina to live near family.
