Elizabeth Pena was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA. She was an American actress known for her work in films such as La Bamba, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Jacob's Ladder, Lone Star, and The Incredibles. In 1977, she graduated from New York's High School of Performing Arts. In 1979, she made her first film debut, El Super. In 2002, she starred in Showtime's Resurrection Blvd. as Tia Bibi Corrades in the episode "Justicia", which she also directed. In 2003, she appeared in and directed "It Was Fun While It Lasted", an episode of The Brothers Garcia. She won the 1996 Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Bravo Award for Outstanding Actress in a Feature Film from the National Council of La Raza.
