Addison Graves "Joe" Wilson Sr. was born in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. He is an American Republican politician and lawyer. He earned a BA degree in Political Science from Washington and Lee University in 1969. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1972. He is the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 2nd congressional district, serving since 2001. From 1985 to 2001, he served in the South Carolina State Senate. As a real estate attorney, he co-accounted the law firm Kirkland, Wilson, Moore, Taylor & Thomas in West Columbia, where he practiced for over 25 years. He was also a municipal judge in Springdale, South Carolina. He married to Roxanne Dusenbury McCrory. They have four sons.
