Jerome Leon "Jerry" Bruckheimer was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is an American film and television producer. He has been active in the genres of action, drama, fantasy and science fiction. He graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Arizona in 1965. He produced several films include: Young Doctors in Love, Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun, The Rock, Con Air, Flashdance, Armageddon, Remember the Titans, Coyote Ugly, Bad Boys, Kangaroo Jack, Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, Pirates of the Caribbean (film series), National Treasure, Glory Road, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and The Lone Ranger. His best known television series (executive producer) are CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Cold Case, and the U.S. version of The Amazing Race. He received the ShoWest Producer of the Year Award in 1998 and in 2000 the Producers Guild honored him with the David O. Selznick Award for Lifetime Achievement.
