Gregg Edmund Easterbrook was born in Buffalo, New York, USA. He is an American author and journalist. He is a contributing editor of both The New Republic and The Atlantic Monthly. During the National Football League season, he formerly wrote an eclectic column called Tuesday Morning Quarterback on ESPN.com, and that column migrated to the New York Times in September 2015. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Colorado College and a master's in journalism from Northwestern University. He has written several books include: This Magic Moment, Surgeon Koop, A Moment on the Earth, Beside Still Waters, The here and now, The Progress Paradox, Sonic Boom, The Leading Indicators, The King of Sports, and The Game's Not Over.
